Ecoweek Workshops are an integral component of the Ecoweek International Conference since 2008. Workshops for young architects and students of Architecture have been taking place since 2009.
Ecoweek Workshops are the international annual high-profile architectural event of Athens. The Ecoweek 2010 design workshops in Athens, Greece, give the opportunity to young professionals and graduate students of Architecture or other professions, to work side by side with known or emerging architects, designers, and engineers from Greece and abroad, and to learn from them the principles and tools to integrate ecological solutions in their architecture and design decisions.

The workshops are supported by thematic lectures by experts in the building profession. For the first time, they are hosted in 20 architectural offices in Athens, giving the participating young professionals and students the opportunity to work side by side with established and emerging professionals in Greece. Each office hosts a group of 6-8 participants and together design "A Passive Solar House of zero emissions". Each office team submits a design proposal, and all proposals are presented and discussed at the Ecoweek presentation and crit on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

The 6th Biennale of Young Greek Architects is organised by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, within the framework of its activities to support the development of contemporary Greek architecture.
The purpose of the events of the Biennale of Young Greek Architects is to gather together a representative sample of contemporary architectural output by young architects, up to 45 years of age, to promote new creative viewpoints and to exchange views about the development of an architectural discourse and an architectural oeuvre in Greece today.
The Biennale presents completed projects, as well as unbuilt proposals, which correspond to real commissions for project designs. At the exhibition site there will be a series of open discussions, with guest speakers, for the purpose of providing a critical evaluation of the full range of participations.

The selection of the proposals on display is carried out by architects Nikos Kalogirou, Lois Papadopoulos, Dimitris Papalexopoulos and Elias Konstantopoulos

Twenty students and young alumni of the School of Fine Arts draw for their city at the unique exhibition entitled "Art and The City". The exhibition, organized by Picar, a member of the Piraeus Bank Group and City Link, takes place from the 30th of September to the 10th of October, at the Spyrou Miliou gallery, at the center of Athens. The main subject of the exhibition is inspired by everyday life in the city.

Picar, a member of the Piraeus Bank Group and City Link, supports modern art and organizes another fine arts event entitled: “City Fashion & Fusion”, which takes place from the 4th to the 14th of November 2010, at the Spyrou Miliou gallery.
More than thirty artists and designers present an equivalent number of three-dimensional garments and accessories, made out of several materials (textile, paper, leather, metal, recycled materials etc.) inside the City Link gallery, which are placed like sculptures on stands specially designed for the exhibition.

RKITEKTS participate in the "10.000 World Architects Exhibition" with Project "050404 Residence"

The UIA2011 Tokyo: The 24th World Congress of Architecture, held in conjunction with UIA2011 Tokyo, will take place in Tokyo, Japan from September 26 to October 2, 2011. This will be the largest international architectural congress in the history of Japanese architecture, bringing together an estimated 10,000 architects from 123 countries around the world.
To mark the significance of this event, we are hosting the 10,000 World Architects Exhibition. Symbolizing UIA2011 Tokyo, this exhibition will convey the messages of architects from around the world through the medium of one project image per architect. Japanese and international architects are invited to participate in the creation of this exhibition, which is open to all architects regardless of affiliation. The exhibition seeks to promote understanding of cultures in different countries through architecture, as well as to convey the architects messages and their works across a broad spectrum of society.

ARCHISEARCH.gr investigates, selects and presents projects that deal with various aspects of architecture throughout the world. Taking the role of an unconventional research tool, it seeks present and future cultural evolution through architecture, as well as the possible exchange with design, art, graphics and green/eco design. It poses questions aiming to provoke new thoughts and approaches. It has a vivid interest in experimentation and validation, whilst it underlines the wealth that lies within the coexistence of diverse ideas.

It focuses on issues relating to the built (and often unbuilt) architectural context and its parameters; from the social benefits of a project and its contribution to the urban area, to its ambiance and construction materiality. It promotes the connection between society and architectural production and explores the ways through which architecture urges us to interact with the social and natural context.

Η PICAR, μέλος του Ομίλου Τραπέζης Πειραιώς και το CITY LINK, υποστηρίζοντας τη σύγχρονη τέχνη και επιθυμώντας να αναδείξουν και να προβάλουν το έργο νέων καλλιτεχνών, διοργανώνουν, για τρίτη χρονιά, την πρωτότυπη ομαδική έκθεση «Art and the City» με φετινό τίτλο “Cities in the City” (Οι πόλεις στην πόλη), στη Στοά Σπυρομήλιου, από τις 5 έως τις 16 Νοεμβρίου 2012.

Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιείται σε συνεργασία με το Γραφείο Διασύνδεσης της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας (Α.Σ.Κ.Τ.) και, ειδικότερα, σε συνεργασία με το Α΄ Εργαστήριο Ζωγραφικής, με υπεύθυνους τους διδάσκοντες Άγγελο Αντωνόπουλο και Μιχάλη Μανουσάκη, ενώ την επιμέλεια της έκθεσης έχει η ιστορικός και κριτικός τέχνης Ίρις Κρητικού.

Aegina Rising - Ανέβασε μια ευχή, ταξίδεψε την ευχή.
Δεκάδες μικρά γυάλινα μπουκαλάκια παίρνουν τη θέση των μαγικών jingle bells του Άη Βασίλη...
Τα φώτα της προβλήτας τα κάνουν να λαμπυρίζουν στο σκοτάδι, σαν άλλο άστρο φωτεινό...
Ο ήχος τους από το χειμωνιάτικο αεράκι στο λιμάνι, δίνει το σύνθημα για την έναρξη της μαγείας...
Και... η μαγεία κρύβεται μέσα τους!

Αυτές τις μέρες, σ’ ένα μυστικό εργαστήρι, κάποια βοηθοί του Άη Βασίλη ετοιμάζουν πυρετωδώς την πιο ανατρεπτική χριστουγεννιάτικη ιστορία, για όλους όσοι κατοικούν ή θα περάσουν από την Αίγινα!
Ένα γλυπτό χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο, κατασκευασμένο από ξύλο και ανακυκλώσιμα υλικά, θα στηθεί στις 16 Δεκεμβρίου στην Παλαιά Προβλήτα του λιμανιού της Αίγινας και στα κλαδιά του θα φιλοξενήσει την ...μαγεία!
Κι αυτό γιατί όλοι οι παραβρισκόμενοι θα έχουν την ευκαιρία όχι μόνο να το στολίσουν οι ίδιοι, αλλά να δημιουργήσουν το προσωπικό τους στολίδι, που δεν θα είναι άλλο παρά το γυάλινο μπουκαλάκι, στο οποίο ο καθένας θα βάλει μέσα την δική του ευχή!
Η μαγεία, όμως, δεν σταματάει εδώ! Ανήμερα των Θεοφανείων, ενώ θα σουρουπώνει, όλοι όσοι στόλισαν με τις ευχές τους το χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο, θα ξεκρεμάσουν τα μπουκαλάκια, θα τα φωτισουν και θα τα ρίξουν στο λιμάνι, για να μπερδευτούν και να ταξιδέψουν οι ευχές μέχρι τον Ναυτικό Όμιλο, όπου πλέον οι συμμετέχοντες θα πάρουν από ένα μπουκάλι, με μια ευχή - μήνυμα που θα τους έχει γράψει κάποιος άλλος!

Στόχος της δράσης αυτής, είναι να δείξουμε ότι είμαστε μέλη σε μια κοινωνία, και όχι απλώς άτομα.

Χαράσσοντας την Αθήνα

Τo CITY LINK φιλοξενεί για 4η συνεχή χρονιά στη Στοά Σπυρομήλιου την πρωτότυπη ομαδική έκθεση «Art and the City».

Με τίτλο «Χαράσσοντας την Αθήνα», η φετινή έκθεση μετατρέπει και πάλι τη Στοά Σπυρομήλιου στο CITY LINK σε ένα υπαίθριο εργαστήριο στην καρδιά της πόλης. Εστιάζοντας στη χαρακτική, νέοι καλλιτέχνες, φοιτητές και απόφοιτοι της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών Αθήνας θα βρίσκονται εκεί από τις 4 έως και τις 16 Νοεμβρίου 2013, και θα εργαστούν υπό το βλέμμα του κοινού με θεματική την πόλη της Αθήνας και τα διαφορετικά της στοιχεία, με τις γνωστές ή αθέατες όψεις της: τις μικρότερες πόλεις μέσα στην πόλη, τις αρχιτεκτονικές λεπτομέρειες, τους δρόμους, τα καφενεία και τα καταστήματα, τους ανθρώπους και τα αναπάντεχα συμβάντα που το βλέμμα τους καταγράφει και συλλέγει καθημερινά.
Η έκθεση πραγματοποιείται με την χορηγία της Τράπεζας Πειραιώς σε συνεργασία με το Γραφείο Διασύνδεσης της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας (Α.Σ.Κ.Τ.) και, ειδικότερα, σε συνεργασία με τον Τομέα Χαρακτικής της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών, με συντονιστή τον Άγγελο Αντωνόπουλο, Αναπληρωτή καθηγητή της ΑΣΚΤ, ενώ την επιμέλεια της έκθεσης έχει η Ίρις Κρητικού.
Την Παρασκευή 8 Νοεμβρίου από τις 17.00 έως τις 19.00 το κοινό θα έχει τη δυνατότητα να συμμετέχει με μικρές χαράξεις στη διαδικασία δημιουργίας ενός έργου.
Η βράβευση των έργων θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Δευτέρα, 11 Νοεμβρίου 2013, στις 18.00, ενώ η έκθεση θα είναι ανοιχτή στο κοινό από τις 4 έως και τις 16 Νοεμβρίου 2013.

Το Εργοστάσιο Τεχνών Σαντορίνης (SANTORINI ARTS FACTORY), υπό την Αιγίδα του Δήμου Θήρας και του Έτους Πολιτισμού Νοτίου Αιγαίου, ανοίγει τις πύλες του με τα εγκαίνια του τριμερούς εικαστικού εκθεσιακού κύκλου “WHITE, GREY AND A LITTLE RED” και υπό την επιμέλεια της Ίριδας Κρητικού, υπεύθυνης του εικαστικού προγράμματος, το Σάββατο 12 Ιουλίου στις 20:00. Διάρκεια έως και τις 15 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014.

«White, Grey and a little Red»: Τρεις περιπέτειες τέχνης στο SAF

Εγκαινιάζοντας τη λειτουργία του τον Ιούλιο του 2014, το «Εργοστάσιο Τεχνών Σαντορίνης» (SAF) παρουσιάζει τον εικαστικό κύκλο «White, Grey and a little Red», προτείνοντας την ομότιτλη θεματική έκθεση που καταλαμβάνει τον κεντρικό εκθεσιακό του χώρο αλλά και δύο σημαντικές ατομικές εκθέσεις φωτογραφίας και γλυπτικής που παρουσιάζονται σε ανεξάρτητες εκθεσιακές πτέρυγες. Εννέα διακεκριμένοι αλλά και νεότεροι Έλληνες εικαστικοί (Γιάννης Αδαμάκος, Δημήτρης Ανδρεαδάκης, Άγγελος Αντωνόπουλος, Ανδρέας Γεωργιάδης, Μιχάλης Μαδένης, Παναγιώτης Μπελντέκος, Γιώργος Σαλταφέρος, Γιώργος Σαμψωνίδης και Έφη Φουρίκη) συμμετέχουν με έργα τους στην ομαδική έκθεση ζωγραφικής, γλυπτικής-κατασκευής και video που αναφέρεται μεταφορικά στα πρωτογενή συστατικά του μοναδικού τοπίου της Σαντορίνης, αλλά και στη συμβολική μνήμη της σαντορινιάς τομάτας που εξακολουθεί να κατοικεί τον χώρο.

Στο πλαίσιο του ίδιου κύκλου παρουσιάζονται παράλληλα η ατομική έκθεση του διακεκριμένου αμερικανού εικαστικού φωτογράφου Josh Garrick «Αποτυπώνοντας το Αρχαίο Ελληνικό Κάλλος», καθώς και η ατομική έκθεση γλυπτικής του Στέλιου Παναγιωτόπουλου «Το πλοίο Νεράιδα».
